Amana Furnace

Amana is a long standing American manufacturer, responsible for innovative products such as the world’s first walk-in cooler and the Radarange microwave oven. Amana prides itself on quality and offering some of the better product warranties in the industry.

Founded in 1934 in Amana, Iowa, Amana Heating and Air Conditioning brand products are produced at manufacturing facilities in Tennessee and Texas. Today, the brand name Amana is a trademark of Maytag Corporation and is used under license to Goodman Global, Inc. of Houston.

Amana has a very healthy line of gas furnaces. As we examine their line in further detail, just click on a model to display its features and specifications:

(1)    HIGH EFFICIENCY GAS FURNACES

Amana’s high efficiency gas furnaces are the top of their line. While they’re more expensive than a standard furnace, they provide more annual savings in energy costs due to their efficiency. Keep in mind that an AFUE rating should be viewed much like a Miles per Gallon (MPG) for an automobile. The higher the number, the greater the savings. For example, a gas furnace with an AFUE rating of 95% would indicate that 95 cents of every $1.00 of heating energy expense is the amount which converts into energy to warm your home (i.e. the gas furnace is 95% efficient).

(2)    STANDARD EFFICIENCY GAS FURNACES

Below is Amana’s line of 80% AFUE gas furnaces. These are ideal for consumers who don’t need the efficiency provided by a 90% furnace…and thus can save on the overall cost of a furnace.
